About Acmez
Delivery Approach
A consistent delivery method, adapted to the size and risk of the work, and six engagement models to choose between.
How we work
How we deliver
The same structure on every engagement, scaled to the work rather than applied ceremonially.
Discovery
Understand the process, systems, constraints and success criteria. Documented exceptions matter as much as the happy path.
Architecture
Domain model, integration contracts, security model, deployment topology and non-functional requirements agreed and written down.
Iterative build
Two-week increments with working software at the end of each, reviewed by the people who will actually use it.
Quality engineering
Automated testing, performance budgets, accessibility checks and security scanning inside the pipeline rather than as a late gate.
Release
Environment promotion, data migration with reconciliation, cutover rehearsal, rollback plan and controlled go-live.
Support and evolve
Defined service levels, monitoring, security patching, monthly service review and a managed enhancement backlog.
Engagement models
Six ways of working with us
The right structure depends on how settled the scope is and how much responsibility you want to transfer. We will recommend one honestly.
| Model | What it is | Best for | Commercial basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fixed Scope Projects | An agreed scope, timeline and price. Suits discrete pieces of work (an assessment, a migration, a defined application) where requirements can be settled before delivery begins. | Well-defined deliverables with stable requirements | Fixed price after discovery |
| Dedicated Development Teams | A cross-functional team committed to your work at a fixed monthly cost. Scope adapts sprint by sprint while capacity and cost stay predictable. | Evolving products and continuous roadmaps | Fixed monthly team cost |
| Offshore Development Centre | A dedicated centre with its own delivery manager operating as an extension of your organisation, with governance, reporting and its own recruitment pipeline. | Sustained programmes needing scale | Fixed monthly centre cost |
| Staff Augmentation | Named specialists embedded into your teams, working your process and reporting to your leads for a defined period. | Specific capability gaps in existing teams | Monthly rate per specialist |
| Managed Services | Defined responsibility for support, maintenance and operations under agreed service levels, with monthly service review. | Systems that must simply keep running | Fixed monthly service fee |
| Strategic Technology Partnership | A standing relationship covering advisory, delivery and operations, with a single accountable point of contact across your estate. | Organisations without an internal technology function | Retainer plus agreed workstreams |
What engagement models does Acmez offer?
Acmez offers six engagement models: fixed-scope projects, dedicated development teams, offshore development centres, staff augmentation, managed services and strategic technology partnerships. Fixed-scope work is quoted after discovery; team-based models carry a fixed monthly cost; managed services are priced against defined service levels.
Governance
How engagements are reviewed
Reporting is designed so that problems surface early, when they are still cheap. Bad news travels at the same speed as good news.
Daily stand-up
Fifteen minutes covering progress, plan and blockers, with your team present.
Shared boards
Your tooling, open to you at any time. No separate internal view of progress.
Weekly written status
Progress, decisions taken, risks and anything that changed in the plan.
Sprint review
Working software demonstrated to the people who will use it, not a slide deck.
Monthly service review
Velocity, quality, service levels, staffing, risks and the forward plan.
Escalation path
A named director reachable directly when something needs to move faster.
Next step
Discuss the right engagement model for your work
The structure matters more than most organisations expect. A short conversation is usually enough to identify which one fits.
