Blockchain
We build blockchain solutions for the specific case they suit: several organisations needing a shared record that none of them individually controls.
Overview
Why organisations engage us for blockchain
Blockchain is frequently proposed for problems a well-designed database would solve more cheaply. We start every engagement by testing the premise: are there multiple independent parties, is there a trust gap between them, and does the record need to be verifiable without a central authority? If not, we recommend a simpler architecture.
Where the conditions do hold (provenance across a supply chain, multi-party settlement, verifiable credentials) a permissioned ledger removes reconciliation disputes that otherwise consume real money.
Does Acmez develop blockchain solutions?
Yes. Acmez develops enterprise blockchain applications, smart contracts, private and permissioned blockchain networks, tokenisation platforms and supply-chain traceability solutions, with a feasibility assessment first to confirm distributed ledger technology is the right choice.

What Blockchain covers
Each capability below is delivered as part of a wider engagement or on its own, depending on what you need.
Enterprise Blockchain
Permissioned network design, governance model, node topology, identity and membership management.
Smart Contracts
Contract development with formal review, comprehensive testing and independent audit before deployment.
Private Blockchain
Consortium networks where participants are known, throughput matters and data must stay confidential.
Tokenization
Representation of assets, entitlements or credentials on a ledger with clear legal and operational framing.
Supply Chain Blockchain
Provenance, chain-of-custody and certification tracking shared across suppliers, logistics partners and buyers.
Integration and Wallets
Connecting ledger activity to ERP and operational systems, with key management handled properly.
What changes
What changes for your organisation
Stated as outcomes we can be held to, without invented figures.
Reconciliation disputes reduced
A shared record removes the argument about whose spreadsheet is correct.
Verifiable provenance
Chain of custody can be demonstrated to auditors, regulators and customers.
Automated settlement
Smart contracts execute agreed terms when conditions are met, reducing manual processing.
Controlled participation
Permissioned networks keep commercially sensitive data visible only to entitled parties.
How we work
How a blockchain engagement runs
A consistent sequence, adapted to the size and risk of the work.
Suitability assessment
Confirm that distributed ledger technology is warranted, and document the simpler alternative for comparison.
Network and governance design
Participants, permissions, consensus, data visibility and the rules for changing the rules.
Contract development
Smart contract implementation with exhaustive test coverage and threat modelling.
Independent audit
Third-party security review of contracts before any value or production data is committed.
Integration
Connection to enterprise systems, identity providers and reporting.
Operate
Node operations, monitoring, key rotation and onboarding of new participants.
Technologies
What we typically build with
Technology is chosen for the problem and for long-term supportability, not from preference. Where your organisation already has a standard, we work to it.
Our engineering standards- Hyperledger Fabric
- Ethereum
- Polygon
- Solidity
- Go
- Node.js
- IPFS
- Hardhat
Technology names describe the tools our engineers work with. They do not indicate partnership, certification or endorsement by the respective vendors.

Questions & answers
Questions about Blockchain
Cannot find what you need? Our team responds to technical and commercial questions within one business day.
Ask a questionFrequently not, and we will say so. Distributed ledger technology earns its complexity when several independent organisations must share a record none of them controls. Within a single organisation, a well-designed database with strong audit logging is usually the better answer.
Yes. We require independent third-party audit of smart contracts before production deployment, in addition to our own testing and review. Deployed contracts are difficult to correct, so the review burden is deliberately heavy.
On permissioned networks, yes: through channel or collection-based data partitioning, encryption and selective disclosure, so participants see only the transactions they are party to.
